The Allergy Centre

Coronavirus (Covid-19):

Updated 3rd April 2020.

In response to the evolving COVID19 situation our clinic is putting in place immediate changes to protect the health of our staff and patients. Like all the medical community, Dr Campbell is very aware of the importance of social distancing in the fight against community transmission of COVID19. Unfortunately, this makes continuing with his usual face to face consultations, as well as skin prick testing, nearly impossible.

Current government advice suggests that these social distancing requirements will be in place for many months to come. Therefore, patients who have appointments booked with Dr Campbell in the weeks and months to come should expect that their appointments will not be able to go ahead as originally booked. Dr Campbell will be reviewing the files and referrals for all patients with up-coming appointments on a patient by patient basis. In some instances, we will be able to offer a telehealth appointment.

Dr Campbell will also be able to arrange the remote authorisation of Epipens, via patient’s GPs where he feels it is clinically appropriate.

All patients with existing appointments will be contacted by our practice to discuss possible options.

From the beginning of July 2020 Dr Campbell will be moving to Compass Immunology at Greenslopes Private Hospital. This will mean that from July appointments will no longer be available at North Lakes. Patients who have already booked appointments after July will be contacted by Compass Immunology with further information about this change.

Urgent referrals, for patients believed to require Epipens can be emailed to admin@theallergycentre.com.au

Non urgent referrals, for appointments at Compass Immunology later in the year can be faxed to 07 3247 3257.
